Some things you should already know

DMC is the biggest global DJ organisation and have played a major part in redefining the role and the image of the DJ. Thanks to this, turntablism has now become a known term worldwide. The idea that a DJ could create something new and vibrant with two turntables, a mixer and vinyl was thrust into the public consciousness and we witnessed the rise of superstar battle DJs like Q-bert. The DMC DJ battle has grown massively since it was established in 1983. The battles now occur globally in over 24 countries, namely: Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, USA, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Ukraine and the UK.
